This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 0-2 years of experience and a Masters in Computer Science/IT to gain valuable hands-on experience in database management, specifically with PostgreSQL databases.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist in the management of PostgreSQL databases.
- Work closely with the senior database administrators to ensure the optimal performance and security of our databases.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.
- Participate in database design and optimization activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address data-related needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science/IT or a related field.
- 0-2 years of professional experience in database management.
- Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational database management systems.
- Basic knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Location:
The position will be based in Larnaca, with opportunities for international travel. Candidates should be willing and able to travel abroad as required.
